It was just another quiet afternoon at Maya's house when her friend Laila showed up completely uninvited. Not that Maya minded, of course. Laila was always welcome, even when she appeared out of nowhere!
The two friends settled into the kitchen for a cup of coffee. Laila had stopped by mainly to chat and spend some time with Maya. They were also thinking about going grocery shopping together later that day.
As they enjoyed their coffee, the conversation wandered from one random subject to another. Then, out of the blue, Laila made a rather extraordinary claim.
Apparently, she had developed the ability to read people's minds!
Maya wasn't convinced. Not even a little.
And so began a rather silly demonstration of Laila's newfound psychic powers...
